2005-2010 10th Grade Writing at Central High
Created curriculum for and taught a writing course at Central High School to help prepare tenth graders for the Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing. In the five years I was there the percent of tenth graders making a 3 or 4 on the ADAW went from 47% to 72%. Also taught 9th grade English while there.

1993-2010 Senior Fellow & Tech Liaison for Sun Belt Writing Project
Senior Fellow from 1993 - 2002. Duties included planning and organizing writing experiences for the participating teachers as well as teaching several sessions. Founding editor of The Sun Dial, the writing project’s newsletter.
Technical Liaison 2003 - 2010. In addition to the duties above, also maintained a listserv (email discussion group) and sought ways to help participants use technology in their classrooms.
